What is an Intuitive Healer?I use the word "healer" because more people understand that word than the phrase "energy medicine practitioner". My belief is that we heal in a process fueled by higher vibrational fields through association with a higher power and the balancing of our own human energy fields. So, I believe we are all healers.During a session the body "tells" me where it seeks balance, and in what specific order. To me "intuitive" simply means "good listener". So probably the most accurate title to decribe what I do would be "Energy Medicine Practitioner Who's a Good Listener". And that just seems a little too long, don't you think?What is Energy Medicine Used For?Since energy medicine practitioners believe that energetic imbalances are precursors to emotional distress and physical pain or illness, one of their goals is to balance energies before imbalances lead to more serious problems. In this way, energy medicine can be used for preventative measures. Many people seek the assistance of energetic bodyworkers for pain or stress relief, or to help assist with the energetic aspects of emotional blocks as well as spiritual development. More often than not, an underlying emotional component is uncovered when I'm working with a client seeking relief from pain. Releasing the energetic grip the emotion places on the client's tissues can be the key to breaking a repetitive pattern. Energy Medicine has been used in the East for centuries, and its popularity and use is increasing rapidly in the US, no doubt due to its reputation for effectiveness and safety. How Does Energy Healing Work?At the core of energy-based medicine is the belief that discomfort begins as an imbalance in the energy field which encompasses the physical and emotional bodies. Encouraging a natural state of balance stimulates the body's own self-healing abilities. Is There Proof That it is Helpful?Energy healing has been studied for centuries. Recent hospital, university and National Institute of Health studies of energy healing for anxiety, wound healing, AIDS, cancer and blood disorders indicate that it is helpful. -moreIs Energy Medicine Expensive?Energy healing sessions are comparatively less expensive than allopathic (Western) treatments. Often, only a few sessions are required to bring about a noticeable difference in a client's state of balance.

Reiki I, Partial Self-Study

Students study the provided materials on their own time, and according to their own schedules. Once they feel prepared, we have a one-on-one Q&A period and attunement. They have the option of attending a Reiki practice night at no charge. The fee for this class is $85.

These sessions usually include gentle touch, body rocking, and pressure (to the client's tolerance). Many clients report feeling warmth as well as coolness, deep relaxation, and may sense the lifting of dense energies from the body. Depending on your reason for seeking a session, there may be increased mobility, stress reduction, reduced or eliminated pain, or other improvements. Often clients find that there is continuous improvement for days following. Post-surgical clients have reported that, following energy medicine, recovery time is reduced and wound healing is accelerated.Clients seeking to shift energetic patterns related to long-term emotional trauma may experience temporary sadness or mild depression following a session. After the energies have "cleared", levels of comfort higher than those experienced pre-session have been reported.What to WearWith the exception of the removal of shoes, clients remain fully clothed during the session. Reflexology Self-Care: The Top 10Reflexology is a system of applying pressure to certain points on the hands, feet and ears. This class will concentrate on the Top Ten Reflexology uses including sinus pain, headache, menstrual discomfort, indigestion/constipation, revitalization, stiff shoulders, back pain, asthma relief, arthritis relief, and immune system boosting.
